Are we the victims of the impact of our traumas?
Does our reflection in the artwork not make us the cause of the impact on our environment?
Our Scars, an Art?
In this deeply personal theme, the artist portrays the violence of the impact left by our traumas and shows that even when deeply affected, we can choose to reflect light and turn our scars into a work of art.
Deep Within Our Psyche
The trajectory of the impact is precise and undeniable; it first penetrates the physical barrier and then sinks deep into the layers of the psychic apparatus. Healing, in the end, is only internal, radiating in its orange hue like a cauterization of pain by flame.
A work with natural appearances
As in all of Philippe Gauberti's sculptures, a hidden meaning conceals the obvious.
The works are made of stainless steel and subjected to cold constraints to maintain the natural deformation of the welded plates on a stainless steel framework.
A Masterpiece
Invisible welding techniques are mastered through years of practice. The sculpted work is then polished to achieve a mirror-like finish. The arrows are made from molded polycarbonate resin, cast from a wax sculpture, and then lacquered in colors created by the artist. Material cast-offs are made from wax, then molded, melted into bronze, and chrome-plated before fitting.
